Description The Hyperbaric Program Coordinator will be responsible for oversight of the Hyperbaric Technician (or Trainee) and the administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician. The Hyperbaric Coordinator will be responsible for the safe and effective operation, control and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber system and supporting components in concert with the hospital
safety officer. The Coordinator will assure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain quality control logs for hyperbaric facility accreditation. The Hyperbaric Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of any additional patient care appropriate to the level of his/her training.

Education: Required: EMT, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist or Respiratory Therapist with a current CHT (Certified Hyperbaric Technologist) Certificate.

Preferred: Hyperbaric Safety Director course completed or completed within first year of employment. Knowledgeable of hyperbaric reimbursement. Previous healthcare management experience. ACLS certification.

Licensure: BLS certification within 3 months of hire. Currently Certified in Hyperbaric required.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years hospital based experience.

Other Job Requirements: Computer experience in word processing, database programs and spreadsheets. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Maintains training and skills in all related competencies for the population being served. Participates in departmental quality
assessment and continuous quality improvement activities as directed through the identification of quality improvement opportunities, goal setting, collection and evaluation of data, implementation of action plans and related applications. Maintains knowledge and awareness concerning hazardous waste and quality control and NBDHMT regulations and standards.
