|Description||Job Description: Collaborates with physicians and other team members to provide consistent quality care for LVHN patients. Plans, provides, directs, evaluates and revises plan of care in inpatient and outpatient care arenas; facilitates continuity of care through coordination of care and the utilization of other appropriate resources within the network and community. Demonstrates excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of groups including but not limited to patients & families of all ages, hospital departments, medical and other department staff and representatives of the community, business and industry. Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as interdependently. Demonstrates the ability to creatively problem sole, work within a self-directed team environment and work with minimal supervision. Demonstrates the ability to initiate, accept and embrace change. Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills. Recognizes, accepts and appreciates differences among people.
Minimum Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Two or more years recent experience in an acute or other appropriate care setting required. Documentation of completion of at least a 40 hour National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course. Certification in hyperbaric medicine upon meeting eligibility requirements. Certification in wound care specialty (through the American Academy of Wound Management or other acceptable certifying organization) is required. upon meeting eligibility requirements.
External Applicants: BSN is preferred and required by 4 years after hire date.
Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience in an ambulatory or other outpatient care setting and/or wound care specialty experience desirable. Previous experience in hyperbaric medicine desirable. Working knowledge and understanding of codes and regulations that govern the operation of a hyperbaric medicine facility desirable. ACLS preferred.
Licensure and Certifications: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure. BLS Certification required , Certification in hyperbaric medicine required upon meeting eligibility requirements. , Certification in wound care specialty (CWS/WOCN) required upon meeting eligibility requirements.
