|Description||Orlando Health Central Hospital, located in Ocoee, FL, is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center. Wound Care, Hyperbaric and/or Critical Care experience highly preferred.
Health Central Hospital, a member of Orlando Health's family of hospitals, serves the West Orange community. It is comprised of a Joint Commission accredited, acute care hospital and physician offices which includes an Emergency Center, Rehabilitation Services for inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy and a complete Surgical Suite that includes seven operating rooms and an outpatient center for diagnostic testing. It also incorporates Health Central Park, a long-term care and rehabilitation facility, ExpressCare, an urgent care walk-in clinic, a state-of-the-art Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center and extensive outpatient services. The hospital is also recognized as a Joint Commission accredited Primary Stroke Receiving Center.
NOTE: Pool (Work as Needed). Schedule: Monday through Friday. Day shift.
Qualified applicants must have the following: Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current certification in Basic Life Support. Certification in wound, ostomy and continence care/Enterostomal Therapy Nurse preferred. Bachelors Degree in Nursing required. Minimum of two years experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Wound Care experience preferred. (WCC or WOCN Preferred).
The Wound Care Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services for patients of all ages, adolescent through late adult, admitted to Health Central Hospital Wound Care Center, utilizing the nursing process. Assists physicians with the development and implementation of wound treatment plans and participates in performance improvement review activities. Services offered in our outpatient Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center include a wide variety of clinically proven advanced treatment options; such as bio-engineered tissue substitutes, growth factor therapies, negative pressure wound therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Some of the common conditions treated are diabetic wounds of the lower extremities, pressure ulcers, soft tissue radiation injuries, necrotizing infections, and compromised skin grafts and flaps. The Wound Center is staffed with a team that is certified in wound care hyperbaric therapy.
